The Doge’s Palace is sold as part of the St. Mark’s Square Museums ticket, which also covers the Museo Correr, the National Archaeological Museum and the Monumental Rooms of the Marciana Library. It costs €35 at the standard rate, or €30 when bought online at least 30 days before the visit. Holders of tickets without a specific entry time slot are admitted to the Palace from 12:00 pm onwards.

So the time slot is what buys a morning visit. The Palace opens at 9:00 and closes at 19:00 from 1 April to 31 October (last admission 18:00) and at 18:00 from 1 November to 31 March (last admission 17:00). The official page does not say how far ahead slots go on sale. If the slots you want are gone, a guided visit that includes the priority ticket is the alternative.

Insider tips
- Reduced tickets cost €15 and cover children aged 6 to 14, students aged 15 to 25 and visitors over 65.

- On the Palace’s own guided tours, arriving more than 15 minutes after the departure time means losing the tour.
